I’m Jen Hazi, a Private Midwife and Birth Educator in Sydney.

When I meet a woman in early pregnancy, the first thing I want to know is who she is and what matters most to her and then I listen. Because care isn’t just about the physical side, it’s also emotional, mental, and spiritual.

I became a midwife after the birth of my first daughter. That experience showed me that birth can be joyful, powerful, and deeply transformative and I knew I had to dedicate my life to helping other women feel that too.

Today, I support women across the whole journey, from the very first test through to life with a newborn whether they’re planning a homebirth, navigating hospital care, or walking a more complex path. I also teach online birth education programs and run pregnancy circles that focus on inner preparation and the profound transformation of becoming a mother.

For me, birth is where a woman truly meets herself. However it unfolds, I want her to walk away knowing she’s capable, powerful, and forever changed.”

“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth.”

Marcie Macari
