Workshops & Circles

In-depth, in-person learning and preparation across pregnancy, birth, and women’s cycles.

These workshops and intensives offer time, space, and structured learning beyond a standard appointment.

They are designed for women and families who want to engage more deeply with preparation, understanding, and the inner and outer work of transition.

Each offering has a distinct focus and intention. Some are practical and educational. Others are reflective, ritual-based, and relational.

All are held in small groups and facilitated with care.

Homebirth Preparation Intensive

Homebirth-specific preparation for labour, birth, and early postpartum

Full-day, in-person intensive

A one-day, homebirth-specific preparation for pregnant women and their support people planning to birth at home.

This intensive is for those who are already planning a homebirth and want education that speaks directly to that context, alongside any broader birth education they may already be engaging in.

The intention is not to prescribe a way of birthing, but to help families understand what homebirth asks of them, so they can meet it with steadiness and care.

This day offers detailed, grounded preparation for the realities of labour at home, including physiology, timelines, shared responsibility, decision-making, safety, emotional support, and the postpartum period.

It is educational rather than clinical, and is designed to sit alongside individual midwifery care.

  • Best suited to women planning a homebirth who want practical, grounded preparation in a small group setting.

Birth Alchemy Pregnancy Circle

Reflective pregnancy preparation in a small group setting

Monthly, in-person circle

A warm, welcoming monthly circle for pregnancy preparation that makes room for both the practical and the personal. Centred on ritual, reflection, and the inner journey of pregnancy and becoming a mother.

Each gathering offers guided reflection, education, and discussion that supports trust, steadiness, and inner readiness for birth and motherhood.

This is not clinical care or therapy. It is a relational space to prepare, listen, and be held in community.

  • For pregnant women who want birth preparation that includes meaning-making, reflection, and connection, held in a grounded way.

The Women’s Cycle Map

Cycles, life seasons, and women’s rites of passage

Full-day, in-person workshop

The Women’s Cycle Map is a full-day workshop exploring women’s cyclical nature across the lifespan.

Rather than focusing only on the menstrual cycle, this day offers a broader framework for understanding cycles of growth, contraction, transition, and renewal, from girlhood, through menstruation, into motherhood, menopause and beyond.

The emphasis is on orientation rather than instruction, offering language and structure to help women make sense of change, threshold, and becoming the expert within their own lives.

  • This workshop may be supportive if you are drawn to reflective, meaning-making approaches to women’s cycles and life transitions, and are seeking language and understanding rather than clinical management or instruction.

How workshops sit alongside care

Workshops and intensives are designed to complement, not replace, individual midwifery care.

Many women attend these offerings alongside clinic appointments or continuity of care, finding they support deeper understanding, clearer conversations, and more grounded preparation.

If you are seeking individualised clinical guidance, decision-making support, or ongoing care, you may wish to explore Clinic Pathways or Complete Midwifery Care.
